Palm fronds are the catch here: lots of long, close-set lines that look fine on screen and turn to a smudge on the wrong settings. Three fixes.
Standard 20lb copy paper bleeds through with water-based markers and buckles when wet — and a beach scene tempts children to lay down a lot of blue. 65lb cardstock costs a few cents more per sheet and holds marker and gel pen without ghosting through.
Greyscale renders the frond lines as soft grey, and on close-set palm leaves that grey blurs the gaps a child needs to see. Choose black-and-white or "black ink only" so each frond stays a crisp separate line.
The fronds are the whole reason a palm looks like a palm, and they are made of many thin lines close together. Printed small or two-to-a-sheet they merge into a grey brush. Keep scaling on "fit to page" so the leaves stay separate and colourable.
Age ranges on coloring sheets are mostly guesswork. What actually predicts whether a child enjoys a page is the size of the enclosed areas and how many there are — and a palm tree runs from a simple trunk-and-fronds shape up to a busy tropical shoreline.

If you are printing for a group with mixed ages, print a range rather than one design at several sizes. Children compare pages, and a younger child handed a visibly simpler sheet notices. A different subject at a different difficulty avoids that entirely.
A palm tree is one of the few subjects where the tree itself is almost too simple to colour — brown trunk, green fronds, and a child is done. The whole page opens up when you point at everything that is not the tree.
